On a long brick road, I lay beneath.
It was in our last few weeks
that we ventured to events in Shapira every other night
and all the conflict there made us say:
never again shall we go, regardless of the event
Now I live behind that invisible line
Without form and void, they just took the form from me,
white cement walls contain all the colors and still, they don’t speak,
they only tick and stutter from other steps
I now inhabit a home right behind that crossroad you shy from
And the home has big windows and high ceilings.
I float in the in between on a silk fabric
The last few weeks just down the road
That I no longer lay beneath.
